The Executive Office

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Executive Office was started in 1939 by FDR and is made up of several policymaking and advisory bodies.  The three major policy making bodies are below. 

 

National Security Council - This council links the President's foreign and military policy advisors. 

 

Council of Economic Advisors - This council is a three-member body appointed by the President to advise the President on economic policy. 

 

Office of Management and Budget - This office prepares the President's budget, reviews legislature, and reviews regulation proposals.
