The Vice President

 

 

 

 

 

Constitutionally, the Vice President has very few duties, only to preside over the Senate and vote in the case of a tie.  However, more recently Presidents have involved their Vice Presidents in policy discussions and important dimplomacy issues.  The Vice President is second in line for the Presidency if the President is unable to fulfill his duties for any reason.
